WIND
New: host your own server, right from the launcher

Everything Minecraft, in one beautiful launcher.

WIND is a free Minecraft launcher for Windows. Install mods and modpacks from Modrinth and CurseForge, jump into your friends' worlds without a server, or host your own in a few clicks. And it looks like nothing else out there.

Windows might show a SmartScreen warning on first install, that's normal for a new app and not a sign of malware. Why this happens.

Everything a launcher should do, finally in one place.

WIND started as a launcher. Today it's where you find mods, play with friends, run your own server and design your skin, without juggling five different tools.

Every mod, every pack

Search Modrinth and CurseForge from one place and install mods or complete modpacks in a click. Play on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge, switch versions without starting over and share your packs with friends.

Play together, no server needed

Open your world to friends and they join straight through WIND. You're connected peer-to-peer, so it feels like LAN across the internet. Chat, groups and invites live in the same friends menu.

Your own server, in minutesNew

Set up a Vanilla, Paper or modded server right in the launcher. Make it public with a WIND Tunnel and your own *.play.windlauncher.com address, or use port forwarding. Plugins, mods and datapacks come straight from Modrinth.

Skins, made your way

Look up any player and try on their skin, save favorites for later and switch capes with a live 3D preview. Or paint your own from scratch in the built-in skin creator.

Resource packs & shaders, sorted

Manage your resource packs and shaders inside the launcher, or grab new ones from Modrinth in a click. No more digging through folders to find the right file.

When something breaks, it explains itself

The crash assistant reads your log, works out what actually went wrong and suggests a fix. Most of the time, all that's left is to click Apply and restart.

WindUI

Minecraft, behind frosted glass.

WindUI is our in-game UI and HUD mod. Menus, inventories and HUD modules get real frosted glass, soft blur and smooth animations, with the same backgrounds you know from the launcher.

It's lightweight and easy on your hardware, and your friends menu comes along into the game. It runs on Fabric from 1.21 up to the latest snapshots, with NeoForge and a 1.20.1 version on the way.

Personalization

A different sky, every time you open it.

WIND's background changes on its own, from winter forests to galaxies, so opening the launcher never feels stale. Prefer something steady? Lock in a favorite or use your own.

It's a small thing, but it makes a launcher feel like yours instead of a tool you put up with.

Free, and staying that way.

No ads, ever, and nothing locked behind a paywall. Optional WIND+ subscriptions for cosmetics and cloud hosting are coming later.
